P&O Cruises came to Fluid Post with a fairly unique request. To replace the livery on their ships from existing footage. Throughout the course of almost 12 months, Fluid Post worked with director David Klum and producer Caro Ryan to create several commercials for the brand, each with aerial shots of their fleet that needed livery updates. Starting with 3D matchmoving, and modelling of the ship and the new exhaust stack, the team went about the painstaking process of tracking and rotoscoping to create clean plates upon which the new 3D livery could be placed. Finally colour grading and finishing brought the spots to completion.
